Craft of Gods: Velet

After the world was divided into Yavi and Navi, gods began rebuilding their domains. Svarog raised massive mountainous ranges from the bottom of the Great Ocean, and beyond them, separated from the rest of the world, he placed a peaceful snow valley. He carved first Velets from the purest mountain crystal, giants powerful in body and pure in spirit. Velets' honesty and simplicity set them apart from Svarog's other creations, and others often used their candor and child-like naivety. These good-natured giants sincerely loved Svarog and his laws, and were saddened by this. After they spent only a short time living among people, Velets decided to retreat to the harsh valley in the Snow Mountains. They cut a passage through the rocks, barred it with Silver Gates and slowly lost all memory of the outside world.
