Atlantians the neutral race

Atlantians – the neutral race

In the war between Light and Dark, the Atlantians are caught in the middle.
Because of this, they are neutral to both races.
To keep their neutrality, they behave honorably towards both sides. This allows them to keep the race bonus. If they kill people from one side, they decrease reputation of that side, and if they lose their neutrality, they also lose the race bonus. If they become friendly with one side, the other adversary is free to attack them.

Atlantians can also do quests from both sides, but only if they remain completely neutral.

If an Atlantian is neutral, he can still be attacked by warriors from other sides. However, they will be rebuffed; and if are you are attacked multiple times, the curse will become stronger.

General description

From very beginning of existence, the Atlantians watch over Svarozhiches and the servants of the Black Serpent.  The day is coming when Atlantians will reveal themselves to the inhabitants of Yavi and Navi, and show them the word of Chronos. Atlantians’ main goal and ideology which they absorb with their mothers milk is preservation of peace at all costs.  They believe in life without compromises, even in the face of the Apocalypse.  Atlantians’ main method is their conviction. They try to bring the words of wisdom to turbulent Akvilon, and convince the inhabitants to think about their actions, as war only brings death and destruction. Conviction is the Atlantian credo, knowledge is their might and their wisdom lays in their ability to make their message clear to every creature.  Every Atlantian understands that, sooner or later, he will have to use violence in the aims of preserving the peace, but only in situations where words don’t have any meaning.  He knows what punishment is awaiting him for using force, but this is his duty and the cross that he must bear.

Diplomacy

If an Atlantian is always choosing quests from one side only, and if he regularly attacks that side, his reputation with that side will be damaged (although simultaneously improved with the opposing side).  Therefore, as soon as an Atlantian looses neutrality towards one or the other side, he will lose all race bonuses, except ability to Renegate.

Abilities

Race bonus

Atlantians have also mastered magic, and can study in any available and existing schools, however many of them choose the path of Psi power study, as all Atlantians are predisposed to this ability and are more mentally developed than any other existing race.  Their incredibly developed brain allowed them to develop faster than other races first technologically, and then mentally. Therefore, all Atlantians are born with the following race bonuses:
Psi magic +10
Debuff – when an Atlantians attacks a neutral character, the Atlantian is penalized.
Attacker’s debuff – if an Atlantian is attacked, the attacker’s stats are temporarily lowered as a penalty.
Renegate – selected enemy and two nearby enemies attack each other with magic and weapons for 5 seconds.

Eusebes and Maximos
Since the very beginning, when the world was not yet divided into Yavi and Navi, when was no time or space, Great Chronos contributed to the creation of the world. He created an island at the edge of the great Ocean, which was not subject to the external world’s laws. Chronos sensed the inevitability of the conflict between Svarog and the Black Serpent, which could lead to the destruction of the new world. To avoid irreversible consequences of a total war, Chronos created the Firstborn race, which was charged with maintaining order and balance of power in Akvilon. From the depths of the Great Ocean Chronos raised the cornerstones of the first Atlantian city – Eusebes. Atlantians built the city according to Chronos’ will and design, filling it with temples and chapels.  Chronos left his seals with the Atlantians, so that they would never forget their purpose, and ordered them to honor and worship those seals as they worshiped him. Later, Chronos shared his divine wisdom with the Atlantians, and the Firstborn acquired deep knowledge of the creation of living and undead creatures.  Eusebes became the Atlantian religious center, a place for worshipping Chronos and studying his words of wisdom. Soon after that, the city of Maximos was founded as the military and research centre of Atlantis, concentrated on research into cybernetics and genetics.
Atlantians had to experience many hardships before they obtained their wisdom and knowledge.  Chronos not only raised the island from the depths of the Great Ocean, but also populated it with dangerous creatures, so that the Atlantians would develop not only spiritually, but also learn the valuable skills of surviving in a barren and hostile land.  He believed that only the Firstborn will be able to carry his words to the continent, and stop the war between Yavi and Navi.
To gain Chronos’ wisdom and knowledge, the Firstborn had to pass severe testing of the Seals. Each of the Seals was protected by a tempting demon, a creature of chaos, which could not be killed with ordinary weapons. Only after they looked deep inside themselves, and realized their inner potential could they confront the demon and acquire the Seals’ power. A new caste of Atlantians was formed – Priests of Chronos, special people who spent most of their time in meditation, trying to achieve greater understanding of their god’s nature. Soon after, a humongous Temple to Chronos was built. The majestic building could be seen from the farthest reaches of the island, as a reminder of Atlantians’ purpose in life and Chronos’ power. Inside the temple, deep under earth and stone, there is a labyrinth, where young priests face their initiation trial. When a young man decides to become a priest, he is brought into the centre of the labyrinth and left there alone, without food or water.  His initiation is this – the seeker must walk the entire length of the labyrinth in complete darkness, waiting for Chronos to lead him through the darkness into the light, thus showing that he is worthy. Only a few have passes this trial, but when they exited the labyrinth, they walked into a life filled with praise, general esteem and knowledge of the god’s secrets.
From the very beginning of its existence, Atlantians watch over Svarozhiches and servants of the Black Serpent.  The day is coming when Atlantians will reveal themselves to the inhabitants of Yavi and Navi, and show them the word of Chronos.

Guilds (Communities)

Atlantians also create trading and military communities. They usually trade with all sides – Light and Dark. Also, Atlantians often join a military or trading guild of one or the other side, in pursuit of their own goals. However, this doesn’t usually bother anyone, as Atlantians are always welcome in Guilds – they are considered a good luck charm, and a source of new technologies.
